Dining out with the kids…

Eating out at a restaurant with a lot of kids can get expensive, especially in today’s economy. I just ran across links to help with that and wanted to share them. The first is Kids Eat Free and it lists places where kids can eat free or very cheaply. The second one is similar, KidsEatFor, and a little easier to use. Just type in your zip code and you get a weekly schedule of places near you that are having kids meal specials. If your location isn’t on there, you can type the name of the nearest big city. A lot of chain restaurants have the same specials at all locations. And, as the sites say, you probably want to call and make sure before packing everyone up in the car… Bon appetit!

  • Thanks for the links! I remember when I was younger, there were never any great options for us. It was usually chicken nuggest or something similar. I am glad restaurants have started to incorporate more kid friendly meals to their menus. Great post!

  • Dining out with kids is really fun and enjoyable. Finding out places where we can have exclusive kid’s recipes within our budget is even more fascinating.

  • Wow. I just found your blog, and I must say kudos for the dedication and devotion that you show to your kids. I can not imagine anything related to triplets whatsoever. I am sure it must be a challenge to simply get out of the bed in the morning – much less how you are going to take them out to dinner. I will be visiting this site again. Keep up the good work. Nice post.

  • Besides an expensive dinner, the kids might be running everywhere too. 🙂

My kids wont be running anywhere! We dont do that. I refuse to allow my kids to act like that in a restaurant. I think there is a place and a time for kids to run around and its not at a public place where others are having their dinner. It is appalling to me that parents think that their kids are just so cute and special that people would actually enjoy watching their kids climbing on the furniture or scream and running around playing. We go to Chuckie Cheeses or to the park for that kind of fun.
